[Life Canada] New post in Android videos : Successor to Samsung Galaxy S III may be powered by Cortex-A15 processor

Amidst the rumors of Samsung working on the successor to the Samsung Galaxy S III and subsequent denials, one thing is certain. Somewhere in Samsung’s organization, work is underway on Samsung’s next flagship device. Could it be a device codenamed “Samsung TE4?” Some sources seem to think so after a device by that name was discovered by Rightware featuring some unique hardware.

According to the information found by Rightware, the Samsung TE4 is powered by the Exynos 5 Dual processor, which mates a 1.7 GHz dual-core Cortex-A15 cpu with a Mali-T604 gpu. We have been waiting for Samsung to announce a device that will use this combination, but it does not look like anything will hit the market in 2012. Given that this mysterious Samsung TE4 device is being benchmarked, could it be on track for a 2013 release? If so, will it be the next top of the line device to be released by Samsung?

[Life Canada] New post in Android videos : Samsung unleashes the Galaxy S III edition of the “The Next Big Thing is Already Here” commercial

If you remember, last year Samsung started the “The Next Big Thing is Already Here” campaign shortly after the iPhone 4S was released. With the iPhone 5 about to hit stores, it’s no surprise that Samsung is at it again. This time it’s the Galaxy S III edition. In this 90 second spot, we see numerous iPhone fanboys and fangirls waiting ever so patiently in Chicago, San Francisco, New York, and Los Angeles for their new iPhone. Of course the Galaxy S III crashes the party and the iSheep get a quick glimpse of S Beam and Share Shot, two features the iPhone 5 doesn’t have. As far as the conversations, Samsung reflected comments throughout culture and the media.

[Life Canada] New post in Android videos : AT&T Samsung Galaxy S III gets minor software update

We received a few emails from owners of the AT&T Samsung Galaxy S III letting us know they received an update of 82MB. The version is UCALH9 and it looks like this update is similar to the international one a couple of weeks ago. No changelog was released, but you should notice a new brightness slider in your notification dropdown. We’re also hearing of some VPN and enterprise security enhancements.

[Life Canada] New post in Android videos : LG’s Optimus G coming to the U.S. in the 4th quarter [Video]

LG held a press event this morning in New York to show off the Optimus G after officially unveiling it yesterday in South Korea. The U.S. version will sport the same Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro, 2GB of RAM, 13MP camera, and the gorgeuous 4.7-inch (1280 x 768) True HD IPS display. We do expect it to be called the Eclipse on Sprint and possibly AT&T, but no information was given other than to expect to see it in the 4th quarter. Hit the break for the hands on video from LG.
